In My Own Words

 For all the days of my life Throughout the seasons of time I will sing of the wonders of your name I will sing praise and worship you For your amazing saving grace   You never left me on my own Even in the darkest of nights In the toughest of times You remained with me How great your amazing saving grace   You helped rescue this tainted heart You picked up the broken pieces And made in me a new heart A washed and untainted heart Your amazing saving grace revealed   You saved me from the pursuit of the devourer In a time of war, you won the battle  I will sing of your victorious and saving deeds For in my weakness you were strong And now I walk in your amazing saving grace   I stand before you now A man filled with power and love I lift my hands to worship you I bow in adoration of your name Thanking you for your amazing saving grace  

 I come before you as I am Not as I think you’d want me A broken and 1000-fragmented heart Engulfed, drowning in a sea of darkness Could you receive such a tainted heart?   Kneeling before your holy presence I present to you this wretched heart Unworthy to stand before you Praying for your amazing grace To save this tainted heart of mine   The voices in my head screamed louder Telling me I am not or never will be enough The doubts ringing at every corner in my life The questions linger in my head daily Filling this tainted heart with darkness   The enemy is in hot pursuit of me I flee but my feet are not fast enough I fight but I lost the battle before it began Frail, I am not strong enough to do this They win over this tainted heart of mine   Completely petrified and frozen Beat down, scarred and broken Laying on the spattered ground I lift my hands up and cry to you Please help save this tainted heart
